Call for Papers: International Conference on Fan Noise, Aerodynamics, Applications & Systems

Following on from the highly successful FAN 2012 and 2015 conferences we are delighted to announce the next in the series, FAN 2018. One of only a few truly international technical forums for the Fan Industry, the former event attracted 300 attendees from 30 countries. Feedback states these events are unique in providing the opportunity to network with companies and academic institutions from across the globe. We anticipate 2018 being even bigger and better.  FAN 2018 includes 3 days of technical presentations (Fan applications & Systems, Fan Aerodynamics, Fan Noise), keynotes, an exhibition, social networking events and panel sessions.

If you work in this field and think others may be interested in your way of working or the technology being developed, why not share your knowledge and expertise by producing and presenting a paper? The first step is to produce an abstract for your proposed paper.  If your subject of interest is not listed above don’t hesitate to submit your abstract.  Abstracts of between 300 to 400 words in English need to be submitted by 11 September 2017. Selected authors will then be invited to submit draft papers of between 6 and 12 pages in length, with draft papers due no later than 20 November 2017. The Conference papers will be written and presented in English. Although all submitted papers will be considered by the Organizing Committee, final acceptance will depend upon the Committee’s decision based on the contents of the final manuscript and receipt by 19 February 2018. The presenting author of each paper will be entitled to a reduction in their registration fee. Speakers will not be reimbursed any travel or accommodation expenses. All papers will be published in electronic format and in a soft-bound volume of  abstracts available to all Conference delegates. Authors are expected to attend the Conference to present their work.

Selected papers will be considered for publication in either the Noise Control Engineering Journal or the Journal of Power and Energy. For further details visit the websites at:

2017 IACSS The 4th International Academic Conference on Social Sciences

The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2018 Programme Committee  is looking for contributions under the session themes to present global best practice, advances in fundamental science, innovative research, policy developments, and solutions to challenges faced by water professionals worldwide. Presenting is a valuable opportunity to meet members of the community of world-leading water professionals.

IWA is inviting proposals for events and sessions (scientific sessions, interactive workshops, training events, regional fora), and abstracts of scientific/technical/policy papers related to the Congress Themes. What to submit?

Your initial submission must be in the form of an outline paper: two A4 pages of text (approximately 1,000 words) plus up to two additional pages of tables/figures. This must clearly and persuasively summarise your proposed presentation. This must be uploaded to our online submission system before 1 October 2017.

Detailed guidance and templates are available at If you prefer to present this work as a poster, please note this when you submit your proposal. If your submission is accepted for a platform presentation, you will also have to submit a full paper of between six and eight A4 pages, which can be considered for publication in an IWA journal.

You may submit as many outline papers as you want. However, no individual can present more than two platform papers/ poster – any further papers must be presented by one of the coauthors.
